We'll also have a chatbox up and running on game day for those that want to discuss the action as it unfolds.

Look below for specific directions you can follow to get online, grab a partner, and jump into the fray!

HOW TO FIND US

ABOUT PARTY MODE
Party Mode is an easy way to get your group together and find matches. Here are the 3 quick and easy steps to get you up and running:

  1. Save your current game. To get started, fire up the in-game mobile phone by pressing "Up" on the D-pad. Select Multiplayer > Party Mode > Yes.
  2. From here, open up your phone again and select the Friends option to invite your friends (you need at least one friend to play with Rockstar).
  3. Once your team is ready to roll, open up the in-game phone again and select Games > Team Deathmatch for this event.

Again, please be sure that you enter the lobby in a group of two if you plan to get matched up against us and other players for the event.

Also, iGrandTheftAuto.com is still putting together a 360 deathmatch event this Monday night, March 15th. Sign up in the topic here or check out the PS3 leaderboard to see what's going on. We really want to get this competition going on both consoles and PC if there is interest.

GameStop staff have received their promotion gear in preparation of what will surely be the biggest game launch of the year so far. They received their kit in the form of Red Dead Redemption polo shirts and lanyards together with booklets for them to familiarize themselves with the games features, should they be asked by customers (who will have been living under a rock) what the hype is all about.

mace9 of the GameStop forums was kindly given this RDR material by an employee at his local GameStop store.

According to game publisher Take-Two's first quarter financial statement (under "Product Highlights"), Rockstar's Western Red Dead Redemption will be delayed until May 18th in North America as opposed to the original release date of April 27th. International date is the 21st.

Rockstar knows many are disappointed with the extra wait but promises that this is the final date. Just as with Grand Theft Auto IV, Rockstar is saying the new date will help them polish the game and bring you nothing but the best.

Rockstar Games gives an example of the fun that can be had on the iPod touch or iPhone version of Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars. It explains the many tools available to you to damage the wiring and so on of the vehicle. It even explains that you can throw a fish on the radiator so that it will be reek by the time the owner finds it again.

Rockstar has posted an interesting news item. Fox News has re-hashed a news article from before Grand Theft Auto IV came out. According to the article, IV was responsible for creating the meme, RickRoll.

QUOTE: Rockstar
Funny, in what appears to be a rehashing of an article originally published the week before Grand Theft Auto IV came out on April 22nd – we just noticed that Fox News re-ran a story this past week giving GTAIV credit for inadvertently helping create the long-running meme of RickRoll-ing.

They’ve pinpointed it to the day of infamy when we broke the Internet with the release of the first Grand Theft Auto IV trailer (“Things Will Be Different”) on March 29th, 2007.

In keeping with silly Internet humor, the director of the image-sharing Web site 4chan, who goes by the handle "moot," decided he'd play a joke and change the word "egg" to "duck" every time a user posted a message.

In time the phenomenon spread, and the word "eggroll" was replaced by "duckroll." When someone came up with the idea to redirect Internet links to an image of a duck on wheels, RickRolling's forebear, "duckrolling," was born.

Then in March 2007 came the release of the eagerly awaited first trailer for the still-upcoming video game "Grand Theft Auto IV."

So popular was the response that it immediately crashed game publisher Rockstar Games' Web site.

In what was to become a pivotal moment in Internet hoax history, someone at 4chan took the now-useless Web link for the "Grand Theft Auto IV" trailer and duckrolled it.

But instead of linking to the image of a duck on wheels, he or she linked to the Rick Astley video on YouTube. RickRolling was born.

So there you have it. You can thank Rockstar Games and the GTA series for every link you ever clicked hoping to see nude celebrity pics or a hilarious video of a fat guy getting pwned, just to listen to Rick Astley tell you how much he loves you. Read Fox's full article here.

IGN has posted an article about Episodes from Liberty City for the PlayStation 3. The article talks about The Ballad of Gay Tony and some of the missions plus weapons featured in the game. Those that have played or read about Episodes will already know everything all about it; there's nothing new.

IGN has also posted a video of gameplay from the PS3 version montaging the nightlife. Check it out here or below:

Quote from the article about a mission:
QUOTE: IGN
As with The Lost and Damned, the events of Gay Tony take place around the same time as those of the main story from GTA IV. You'll see a lot of the same characters and get to know some of the bigger crimelords a guy like Niko would never meet. In one mission, Luis is doing a solid for Bulgarin, the top Russian gangster in the city. Bulgarin is a nutjob, of course, and wants to get his hands on The Liberty City Rampage – a hockey team. But the owner is keeping the deal from happening. So it's Luis' job to stop this guy from breathing.

Things begin with a freefall from a helicopter. Dive out, pull your chute and parachute onto the roof. From there it's standard GTA IV stuff – cover shooting, explosive barrels, lots of people dying. The P90, one of the new guns, is a beast of an automatic weapon. It fires 900 rounds per minute (I counted). Of course, you only need to fire a single round per second if you pull of some headshots. After capping the owner, it's time to make your escape. But why take the stairs when you can take the window? Leap out, pull your chute and guide Luis onto the back of his moving getaway truck.

Check out the rest of the article here and feel free to discuss Lost and Damned & Gay Tony in our forums!
